💬 What is a V5c?

A V5C — also known as a log book — is the official document from the DVLA that proves you’re the registered keeper of the car. It shows all the key details about the vehicle, like the make, model, and who it’s registered to.

You don’t have to have the V5C when we collect your car, but if you do, it’s super helpful! It makes the paperwork quicker and smoother. If it’s missing — don’t worry, we can still help, but we might need a little extra info from you to confirm ownership and legal entitlement to hand the car over.

If you do not possess a V5c or a key for the car, then we will not collect this without a purchase receipt for the car in your name.
