📑 What paperwork needs to be done when scrapping or selling my car?

Yes — it’s your legal responsibility to let the DVLA know you’ve sold or scrapped your car. The easiest way is by using Section 9 of your V5C log book (or Section 4 if your V5C was issued after April 2019). Don’t worry — your collection driver will happily guide you through it on the day.
