No, the V5C (logbook) doesn’t need to be in the same name as the booking
Ideally it is, but it’s not essential.
What matters is that the vehicle details are correct and the person handing over the car has the legal right to do so and can provide valid photographic ID. If the V5C isn’t in your name or is missing, we can still go ahead with a collection but may ask for additional confirmation before proceeding.
This often applies if:
The V5C hasn’t been updated yet
You’re selling for a family member or company
The car was registered to a previous owner
The V5C is missing
